The wire diameters typically range from 2 mm to 3 mm, with 2.5 mm being the most popular for balancing strength and near-invisibility. These wires are capable of withstanding a tensile force of 250 to 300 kg per wire, making them highly durable and difficult to break or cut without specialized tools. The wires are usually coated with a nylon or PVDF layer to enhance resistance against weather elements, UV rays, and rust, while also giving a smooth, clean finish. The spacing between the wires can be customized—2 inches (5 cm) spacing is recommended for child and pet safety, while 4 inches (10 cm) is used where basic protection is sufficient. The wires are secured and tensioned onto aluminum or stainless steel frames using locking clamps or crimping techniques to ensure rigidity and uniformity. Despite their strength, these wires remain almost invisible from a distance, allowing natural light and ventilation to pass through freely.
